Until I discovered Chi Dog, I didn't know how easy and fun eating could be for my small mouth..what a pleasant surprise! I no longer have to chew my food a million times before I can swallow it. I like it at mealtime and also smashed onto a licky mat for a treat - I know my parents do this when they are trying to get stuff done and don't want me in the way...but I don't care, whatever works...as long as I get more food!" Here are Vera's ratings (out of 5 stars) of the 3 Chi Dog diets she has tried: Water (Pork is the main protein) - my favorite!!! I love this one because even though the fat content is pretty much the same as the others, there is a nice savory film of fattiness on this flavor. Super yummy - 6 Stars Wood (chicken is the main protein) - I like this one too. It is my comfort food because chicken is the flavor I am most used to. It is just a bit dryer than the Water diet...but I don't mind. I like to mix it up! Plus, Mom says this one will help balance me out when I'm getting too bossy - 5 Stars Fire (Turkey is the main protein) - yum, yum, yum! This one tastes a lot like the Wood diet, but the texture/moisture is in between Water and Wood. Bonus - I also love the edamame. Who knew??? - 5 stars "I'm so glad I've found my inner Foodie self with Chi Dog! And even better, I never once had messy poop or any stomach upset during my transition ... and my haircoat is fabulous!!! Hi my name is TaHso. I am a rescued male Standard French Poodle who was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. I had a terrible belly ache until 2 doctors suggested this wonderful and special food called Chi Dog (I eat the fire diet) and my IBD has improved dramatically. One of my favorite things is when the box is delivered and I can follow it to the freezer and know it will soon be coming my way.

Oona was diagnosed as a young adult with Mega Esophagus. We spent one year with 7 different vets that recommended changing her dry kibble to stop the retching, honking and moaning. After meeting Dr. Tracy Duffner and she determined the cause of Oona’s ME (IBD), we started Oona on ChiDog Fire Diet. Oona is 100% better now. She feels well and acts like a 2.5 year old Golden Retriever. Her eyes are bright, coat is beautiful and she finally digests her food; thus, getting the nutrients she requires to have her best day playing and making the world smile.

My 2 senior dogs absolutely love Chi Dog! My most senior, she is almost 16 years young, is a picky eater and she licks her plate clean! We also deal with ongoing pancreatitis and liver issues. Along with some medication and starting them on Chi Dog our numbers are improving. I am very happy with the quality of the food (we use the Wood diet and the Fire diet) and it is so convenient with the delivery system they have set up. I also want to mention how EXTREMELY helpful Dr. Boher has been. She is so helpful by answering all my questions and is so kind in doing so. Chi dog is amazing! As much as we would love to make our dog’s food ourselves, life can get really busy and there isn’t always time for it. Chi dog is perfect- not only is it really convenient but it is made by actual veterinarians who know exactly what our pups need. Our boxer especially loves the Fire and Earth diets, but there is a perfect match for every dog’s personality and/or health needs! Thank you for making our boy so happy and healthy!

Oliver has been doing great on the food. Oliver is a 13.5 year old deaf Dalmatian/poodle mix. Over the years, he started to develop small fatty deposits (bumps) on his stomach. We had been keeping an eye on them and had our vet check on them during his yearly exams. We switched from traditional dry dog food to Chi Dog, Water diet in October. Since that time, most of Oliver’s fatty deposits have disappeared! He has a few remaining that were larger in size but I expect that over time, those will continue to decrease in size as well. We are so happy we selected Chi Dog!

It was a very lucky day almost a year ago, when one of the veterinarians at the clinic I took my beautiful Jack Russell, Tyler to recommended Chi Dog. We were trying to figure out why he was continuing to drink huge amounts of water all day every day. The belief he had Cushings disease was the prevalent conclusion. He had gone through numerous tests, ultra sounds, X-rays. Two small nodules were found on his kidneys, but this is common in middle aged dogs. Ulcers were ruled out. I was so frustrated and worried. When the vet suggested Chi-dog, I thought why not. We had experience with acupuncture & homeopathic medications also to no avail. Why not homeopathic type food. Tyler was on a very well-known high quality kibble. So I called Chi dog, I spoke with Susan one of the Doctor/owners. She was wonderful. We discussed all of Tyler’s issues. She listened and suggested ideas & finally we decided on a recipe of food. The food was shipped in a recycled box on dry ice. When I defrosted some to feed, I was so impressed. It smelled & tasted (yes I taste my dog’s food) wonderful. Chunks of real meat & vegetables, I could identify. I figured if Tyler & my other dog Chloe did not like it, I would eat it myself. About a month later, Tyler’s water consumption started declining. He seemed to feel better, more energy and happier. Back to his very jack russell self. We have not looked back. We tweaked his food a little, went from pork to turkey. My dogs love the food, and I love the company & people as well. I have over Tyler’s 12 years tried home cooked to raw to kibble, spent a lot of money on food for him. Finally I can say, I am completely happy with Chi dog. And the test results have backed me up. His nodules are smaller and his water consumption is back to a normal dog’s. It is the best food out there hands down

Heela was having some major Gi issues in the past, being a Shiba they do have sensitive systems. Since I have had her on Chi Dog Wood Dietwe have not had to deal with that at all. She is very regular, full of energy and a happy sweet girl! Thank you Chi Dog!!! We are forever customers.

I’ve been using Chi Dog for my pets and we couldn’t be more pleased. Chi Dog saved our Phoebe’s life. She’s had two liver shunt surgeries and wasn’t expected to live. She’s doing amazing because of Chi Dog and I can’t thank them enough. Daisy is almost 18 and we’ve had her on Chi Dog. Daisy wasn’t eating well at all as she was getting up there in age. We know her diet with Chj Dog has extended her life. Teddy, was having stomach issues, so Dr Berg suggested we try Chi Dog. His stomach issues are gone, thanks again to Chi Dog. Holistic veterinarian, Dr. Bethany’s personal senior rat terrier Lola suffered from chronic pancreatitis. She was very picky and had recurring bouts of vomiting on prescription low fat dog food. After talking about a food therapy approach to pancreatitis with Dr. Bohrer at a holistic vet conference she decided to try both her dogs on Chi Dog’s Fire Diet. They seemed to feel great on the meals. I cannot thank you enough for all the work you’ve done with Chi Dog. My dog hasn’t been healthier after being on this food for quite some time. Each time I bring him to the vet, he has had no issues and they always ask me what I’m feeding him. Of course I have some vets that try to steer you away and try to get you to feed science diet or Purina’s pro plan but I know this food isn’t made for dogs. To update you, Chip, my 12 year old, Lab looking mix, is doing exceptionally well. I have noticed more energy and youthfulness, and thinner waist. He still shows signs of his age but has noticeably become more playful and energetic. Beans, my 10 year old labradoodle was often picky and not interested in eating. He would eat grass a lot while on walks and would occasionally vomit up bile, which prompted me to go with Chi-Dog thinking his food was lacking. He had upset stomach pretty frequently. Now he loves his food and has not refused it once

I am happy with the Water diet, Gertie has been eating this for over 1 year, I have noticed a great difference from eating kibbles to Chi Dog food. Hi Susan, When our vet told us that Mac’s kidneys weren’t functioning properly, I did a lot of reading to see how I could improve his health so he could live as long as possible! He’s my baby!! So, the bet gave me some samples of food but he wouldn’t touch them. He’s very picky. I’ve always made his food…chicken rice and veggies mostly. I didn’t know I was giving him too much protein. :/ Anyway, I have tried some other brands of kidney friendly foods and he wouldn’t touch any of them! I’m extremely elated that he is not only eating the food I ordered from Chidog, but devouring it!!! I can’t tell you how happy that makes me. So he’s on the Water diet. Is there a way to change it up a little each month, or are the kidney friendly diets pretty much the same each month? I know dogs probably don’t care about variety, but I was just wondering. I will note this is the first food that has worked well for her. I've tried over 10 different foods and had found one that she could somewhat tolerate - Raw Bistro Dehydrated Turkey; however, she still had loose stool from time to time. She has not had one loose stool since transitioning her to this food. I have noticed a number of the edamame beans (and some carrots) in her stool, so I have been mashing the beans hoping to assist with digestion. This has helped some.

Thank you for your concern and for your food. I have an 11.5 year-old dog with Cushing’s. He has been off of Vetoryl for 2 months now; I think it was slowly killing him despite tests showing normal cortisol levels. He stopped eating just about everything. I started making his food at home; a recipe very similar to your Fire Diet, and after 3 weeks his coat has improved, he looks less “skeletal”, his eyes are brighter, and I think he feels much better. My wholistic vet recommended Chi Dog to me. I was elated to see my dog eat Chi Dog just like the food I had been making. He is now on a regular diet of half homemade food, half Chi dog Fire Diet. I am very thankful to have a high-quality food like Chi Dog, that he will eat, to add to his diet! Using Chi Dog means I have to prepare food less often (big win) and it is also a security in case I am not able to prepare homemade food at any point. Thank you!

Since we rescued Shelby, our Chihuahua, she has been having GI incidents which were becoming more frequent. No one could find the cause. At 10 pounds these GI incidents were brutal for Shelby to endure. We just went through another series of horrible bloody diarrhea events and after Shelby’s most recent GI incidents, Shelby’s stool continued to be loose, not formed and she was not feeling herself and her stool test on 2/23/23 showed toxic Clostridium diff. Rather than begin a course of Metronidazole and Amoxicillin, we started the change to Chi Dog and made the change very quickly thanks to my consultation call with Dr. Susan at Chi Dog! We saw an immediate improvement in her stool. Within a few days of starting her new Chi Dog diet, we could clearly see a significant positive change in Shelby, like she was a puppy again!. Not to mention Shelby will be 12 years old in December. We did another stool test on 3/2/23 which came back negative! Chi Dog food was the medicine! Our vet was speechless! The only change we made was to switch to Chi Dog so there is no other explanation. Shelby has never been able to get past these reoccurring GI incidents without antibiotics which wreak havoc on her beneficial gut bacteria. My first impression of Chi Dog is 5 Stars! If not more!
